SaffronScope™
SaffronScope™ is a web-based application build on SaffronEnterprise™ that allows discovery of entity-to-entity similarities. SaffronScope™ applies a set of new patent-pending methods to find information-based similarities and unusual groupings. This is used primarily for data cleansing, alias detection, transactional integrity and multi-database integration.
Focusing (“scoping”) on each and every entity within the entity network, SaffronScope™ finds duplicates, variants, aliases, and other analogues. While many data cleansers are otherwise available, SaffronScope™ has been proven as uniquely powerful. Working on very sparse foreign intelligence data in which some persons are intentionally trying to hide their identity, the leading competitive vendor failed in finding only 2% of “ground truth,” findings that are investigated and actually verified as aliases. Because SaffronScope™ uses all features and relationships in the data, it was 93% accurate in one of the most difficult and challenging National Intelligence arenas. This result is unparalleled given the difficulty of the problem. Moreover, SaffronScope™ was uniquely able to integrate such databases, even across different agencies. Commercial applications also include data cleansing and integration, such as for mergers and acquisitions, but many other domain-specific applications are also in development. These include finding risks of overly similar funds within the same mutual fund family, and finding physician group practices that extend beyond explicitly formed practice groups.
SaffronScope™ demonstrates that the entity network of associative memories is a fundamental knowledge representation that can support a number of different queries, whether about relationships or about similarities.
