SaffronAnalyst™ is the window into the world of your Experience.

It’s an illustrative and powerful application for Sense Making, and with it, you can see, get to, share, and leverage all the Experience contained in your SaffronMemoryBase.

How it Works

SaffronAnalyst enables you to quickly form a reliable contextual awareness of key entities – such as who, what, when, where – that are relevant to a given situation. It does this by leveraging the REST APIs in the Saffron Natural Intelligence Platform – Connections, Correlations, Network, Classifications and Temporal Analysis functions.

This way, it presents an entity-analytics approach to finding and understanding all the associations in your data – and their frequencies of occurrence – among people, places and things, both in space and over time. By bridging the integration divide between extracted entities and presentation tools, SaffronAnalyst provides end-users with seamless, more productive workflow.

SaffronAnalyst is thin-client, Web 2.0-based, and because it is built on SaffronMemoryBase, it allows you to easily create both end-user and data-source memories, each within an agent-based perspective.

All source material – structured or unstructured – is modeled in SaffronMemoryBase as a massive network of entities for every person, place, and thing in your data. Every such entity is a starting point of its own, and allows the user to quickly “fly through” the entity network – which by now comprises your sum-total “Experience” – at the insightful level of entity-to-entity-to-entity relationships. The source material is also indexed by these associative memories, clear down to the sentence (“snippet”) level for unstructured sources, and to the record level for structured sources. And all of it is displayed as evidence of the entities and links.

Now context-dependent, these relationships allow the user to see only what’s relevant to the query, rather than the usual “balls of yarn” produced by conventional data analytics or business intelligence tools.

SaffronAnalyst also maintains associative memories that model the application users’ interactions with the data. These “behavioral” models help refine each user’s interests and intentions, plus they provide a valuable expertise directory that can be shared across all users, especially those with similar interests and discoveries.
